The Digital manufacturing Innovation Hub Wales supports and strengthens business in Wales by providing access to innovative solutions, supporting the commercialisation of innovative technologies to create resilience in the manufacturing industry.

DMIW is a non-profit DIH focussed on the adoption and exploitation of innovative manufacturing and process technologies (including CPS, AI, Digital Twins, Virtual Factory, Control Systems), within the SME community. We do this through direct support and advice; referrals from Business Support organisations and through participation in R&D programmes, Open Calls and Industry 4.0 experimentation.

DMIW is a member of DIHNET.EU, borne from the I4MS programme and part of the European Commission’s S3 Specialisation Platform, a network of Digital Innovation Hubs across Europe, specialising in control systems engineering and cyber-physical systems.

DMIW is driven by a expert steering group of engineers and industry leaders with direct experience across the automotive, steel, aerospace and other manufacturing arenas; our business model is aligned with regional strategy and existing support networks to provide complementary services at a commercial level.

DMIW is well-connected within the Wales, the UK and Europe and is already delivering services as part of UK and EU funding programmes. We have excellent consortia partners in academia and private industry and welcome any opportunity to collaborate on digital manufacturing projects.
